CV-Well 2022-2023 Awards Nominations Are Now Open!

CV-Well is offering three awards to recognize members who demonstrate outstanding contribution to the Dietetics profession, in the areas of Cardiovascular Health and Well-being:

  • Achievement Award
  • Excellence in Practice Award
  • Distinguished Scholar Award

Once you have reviewed the award details and criteria below, you can complete a nomination form. Self-nominations are permitted. The deadline to complete a nomination is April 21, 2023 at 5 PM (CT).

Achievement Award

This award recognizes a practitioner who has left a legacy to CV-Well and the dietetics profession through both a history of leadership and outstanding service.

Recognition & Benefits
• (1) $200 honorarium
• (1) Travel Stipend to be used towards travel and registration expenses to attend the CV-Well Symposium where you will be recognized for the award. Stipend amount and expense guidelines will follow upon notification of award.

Excellence in Practice Award

Each year CV-Well recognizes the outstanding practice of a CV-Well member in one of CV-Well’s three practice areas (Cardiovascular health/nutrition and/or wellness and well-being). The practice area in which the award is given rotates each year based on the nominated candidates. A member may receive the award for efforts as an individual, part of a group, or part of an organization. Practice may include clinical practice, public health practice, consulting/corporate practice, program development, research, publication, education, or volunteer practice.

Distinguished Scholar Award

This award recognizes an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to research or the practice of dietetics as a result of continued commitment to scholarship. This is not open for application every year, but is available if the nominating committee deems an appropriate individual(s) for recognition.
