CV-Well Webinar: Enhancing Coaching Skills for Dietitians

      Wednesday, November 16, 2022
      1 PM - 2 PM (CT)

      Speaker: Vivian Cullen, CPIC, ACC

CPEU: 1 (level 2), pending CDR approval

This presentation is an exploration into the effectiveness of using coaching skills for engaging patients and clients in lifestyle change. Vivian will review coaching and Motivational Interviewing techniques, as well as provide information gleaned from accumulated knowledge of 20+ years assisting clients and group participants with making habit change a permanent part of life. Vivian dives deeper into practical application of coaching skills to create strong partnerships with our patients and clients. Coaching often increases connectedness, which raises the potential for movement toward positive lifestyle changes.

Note: This presentation is adapted from a longer series Vivian developed for clinical staff at the VA in Southern Arizona to incorporate Coaching practices into their work with Veterans.
